The Capital Library is a library and cultural organization serving the residents of the capital Sofia and presented by several branches in the capital.

The central building is located on "Petko Slaveykov" Square.

The central building houses the Municipal Theater "Vazrazhdane" is located. There are also branches in Lyulin district and on Serdika Street (to the Presidency and the Council of Ministers).

The Metropolitan Library offers reading rooms and using of literature, download catalogs, borrowing some books (not all borrowing), and using computers and the Internet thanks to the Global Libraries project.
