The Sofia Zoo (officially the Municipal Zoo - Sofia) is one of the attractions in Sofia and is one of the 100 national tourist sites of the Bulgarian Tourist Union.
At present, a large number of exotic animals are grown in Sofia Zoo, as well as many animals that are characteristic of the Bulgarian lands. On an area of 360 acres in the zoo live 281 different species with a total number of more than 1900.
The annual visit is between 550 and 600 thousand, and their number continues to grow.
The official address and entrance of the Sofia Zoo is 1 Srebarna Street (at the western border of the zoo).
However, it actually has two entrances for visitors - besides the western entrance from Srebarna Street, the zoo has another one on the eastern side near the crossroad of "G. M. Dimitrov "and" Simeonovsko Shose "Blvd.
