Public park Lauta

Lauta is a public park located on the territory of Trakia residential area in Plovdiv. Its area is 402,421 m².

 

Lauta Park is located in the northern part of Trakia residential area, south of St. Petersburg Blvd, which is one of the main road arteries of the city center to the neighborhood.

 

On the west the Park is bordered by the Lokomotiv stadium, part of the Lokomotiv Sports Complex, where Lokomotiv Football Club conducts training and house meetings. Also west, the park borders green areas, owned by the Agrarian University and subject to the Ministry of Defense.

 

It is south of the residential areas of A10 and A12 of the Trakia neighborhood and to the east by the A11.

 

The area was inhabited for millenniums before the New Age and is known as Yassa Tepe, prehistoric Neolithic settlement, which has many remains of buildings and household items.
