The Regional Museum of History in Pleven is:

It carries out its activities on the search, exploration, presentation, preservation and promotion of monuments of culture, natural models, flora and fauna on the territory of the Pleven region, where significant archaeological places have been discovered - the Roman city of Ulpia Eskus near Gigen village, the late antique and early Byzantine fortress Storgozia near Pleven, the medieval Bulgarian fortress in Nikopol.
