Regional History Museum

The Regional Museum of History in Vratsa has existed since 1953.

It is located in the central part of the town, at the foot of the Vratsa Balkan. It is included in the 100 National Tourist Places. The building is among the few in Bulgaria, which is specially designed and built for a museum.

Expositions

The museum is divided into sections (halls) which track different stages of the region's development.

It starts with the Thracian presence in Northwestern Bulgaria (the Tribal Kingdom). There are the Rogozen treasure (the largest Thracian treasure discovered so far) and the deposits of Mogilanska mogila.
