Lion Bridge is an important crossroad and bridge in the central parts of Sofia. Prior to its construction in 1889, the Charien Bridge was located in this place.The bridge crosses the Vladaya River and is located at the crossroads of Maria Luiza Boulevard and Slivnitsa Blvd, connecting the Central Railway Station and the Central Bus Station with the city center.The bridge is one of the landmarks of the capital, as well as a symbol of the Serdika metropolitan area. In the immediate vicinity of the bridge and the crossroad there is the same name Lion Bridge.
